鈴木ヒラク / Hiraku Suzuki
1978年生まれ。描くと書くの間を主題に、平面・彫刻・映像・インスタレーション・パフォーマンス等によりドローイングの概念を拡張する制作活動を展開している。主な個展に『今日の発掘』群馬県立近代美術館（群馬、2023年）がある他、これまでに金沢21世紀美術館 (石川、2009年)、森美術館 (東京、2010年)、銀川現代美術館 (中国、2016年）、MOCO Panacée (フランス、2019年)、東京都現代美術館 (東京、2019年)など国内外の美術館で多数の展覧会に参加。音楽家や詩人らとのコラボレーションやパブリックアートも手がける。著書に『ドローイング 点・線・面からチューブへ』(左右社、2023年)などがある。
The practice of Hiraku Suzuki (born 1978) expands the conceptual possibilities of drawing through two-dimensional works, sculptures, videos, installations, and performances that explore the interconnections between drawing and language. His major solo exhibitions include “Excavation Today” at The Museum of Modern Art, Gunma (Gunma, 2023). He has also shown in group exhibitions at numerous museums throughout Japan and internationally, including 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa (Ishikawa, 2009), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo, 2010), Yinchuan Museum of Contemporary Art (China, 2016), MOCO Panacée (France, 2019), and Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (Tokyo, 2019). He has collaborated with musicians and poets, and created numerous public artworks. His publications include “Drawing – Point, Line and Plane to Tube” (Sayusha, 2023).
テニスコーツ / Tenniscoats
さや (Vocal, Key他)と植野隆司 (Guitar, Sax, Vocal他)が学生時代に出会い、1995年majikickレーベルを始動。シンプルで独自のメロディーに互いのアイデアを詰め込み、即興も加わった楽曲、また国内外のコラボは多数。その折々に自然発生した音楽の形が捉えられてきた。
2020年より、ストリーミングサイトMinnaKikeruを仲間と立ち上げ運営、日本のインディアーティストの音楽を広く掲載。
Saya (Vocal, Key, etc.) and Takashi Ueno (Guitar, Sax, Vocal, etc) met as students and started the majikick label in 1995, producing early and classic works by themselves and many of their friends.
Tenniscoats combine Saya and Ueno’s simple and original melodies with each other’s ideas and improvisations. Their collaborative albums with Japanese and international artists have captured the spontaneous musical forms that arose from time to time.
Since 2020, they has founded and operated the streaming website MinnaKikeru with his friends, which features music from a wide range of Japanese indie artists.

shimauma is a creative unit founded by Tenshi Iwai and Alice Megumi, cultivating spaces where connection, creativity, and awareness grow. Main activities include shimauma salon (2014-2018), and Tsuchi to Hito (Earth People) (2018 -), a community event celebrating earth-friendly living and organic markets with plant-based food. shimauma sanctuary starts in 2025.

アートや学びの発表の場として、
2019年にここを閉め、
それから6年。世界は大きく変化しました。
私たちが当たり前だと思っていたことが揺らぎ、
四季の移ろいが豊かに感じられる蔵王は、心を静め、
春の雪解けとともに芽吹く新緑、木立を抜ける夏の風、

ここでまた新しい仲間や旅人と時間を分かち合えることを、

shimauma sanctuary is a quiet retreat space nestled among trees, located in a small hamlet near the hot springs of Zao, Yamagata.
This little mountain lodge, once a pension guesthouse, lay silent for many years. Step by step, with care and intention, we are bringing it back to life. On the summer solstice of 2025, a new chapter begins.
The roots of shimauma sanctuary trace back to shimauma salon, which we opened in Tokyo in 2014. It was a space where art, learning, and people came together. We closed its doors in 2019 and moved to Yamagata seeking a life closer to nature.
Six years have passed since then, and the world has shifted in profound ways. We find ourselves caught in a relentless flow of information, as time seems to quicken with every passing moment.
Here in Zao, we feel the steady pulse of the earth as the seasons unfold around us: fresh greens emerge with the melting spring snow, summer winds whisper through the trees, autumn paints the mountains with fiery hues, and winter wraps the forest in a silent blanket of snow.
shimauma sanctuary offers a place for quiet reflection and nourishment, where plant based food, art, and community inspire the soul.
We look forward to welcoming fellow travellers and kindred spirits.
